Dan Heatherly used to work for an amusement company back in the late 70's and became an enthusiast for pinball during the days. There were many games that Dan enjoyed such as Odds & Evens, Riverboat Queen, Doodle Bug but it was Fireball that really sparked his interest along with many other in this hobby.
It wasn't until the late 1990's when his first pinball machines were purchased. Although they were late model Dot Matrix games from Gottlieb (Gladiators & Street Fighter), they set the tone for things to come. Both games required a great deal of work but that is half the enjoyment. Bringing them back to life. Dan eventually sold those games and picked up three more (Elvira and The Party Monsters, Black Knight 2000 and Dr. Dude). Things just multiplied from there and more and more games ended up in Dan's collection. Dan now has one of the largest collections of late model games in the country and still gets excited with every games he purchases or restores. Dan's first passion was auto racing where he started out in go carts and frequently ran tracks within the area along with his brother Bill. Dan was quite an accomplished go cart racer and one many races and track championships but he longed for bigger and better things, so he ended up moving into sprint car racing with mediocre success. Dan along with his wife Mary and son Daniel also have a passion for pets and have adopted two Greyhounds which are great companions to the family and if you are lucky you will be greeted by them when you stop by either to purchase a game or just to take a look around and play. The Pinball Barn has sold many games to people locally as well as all over the country. His shop currently resides in 1800sq ft of climate controlled warehouse space but is currently only a step away from his house. There are in the neighborhood of 70-80 games set up at any time for your playing pleasure. |
